The Quiet Gifts God Gives
Dear Friend,
As we step into Thanksgiving, I’ve been thinking a lot about the kind of gratitude that doesn’t come from having a perfect year, a perfect family moment, or a perfect table setting… but the gratitude that grows in the quiet places of our lives.
The kind of gratitude that whispers,
“God, You’ve carried me… even here.”
This year may have held stretching moments, unexpected pressures, and days where you felt poured out more than filled. And yet, God has been faithful in the middle of it.
Sometimes the greatest miracles are not the big breakthroughs we’re waiting for… but the small, steady ways God shows up:
Strength on the days you felt empty
Peace that made no sense
Provision that arrived right on time
Loved ones who held space for you
Grace upon grace, even when you felt behind
This Thanksgiving, I invite you to do something simple but sacred:
Look around your life with softened eyes.
Ask yourself:
Where did God sustain me this year?
What quiet blessings did I overlook?
What prayers did He answer gently, not loudly?
Who showed up for me in ways that reflect His love?
Gratitude doesn’t ignore the hard parts, it acknowledges that God was in them with you.
And friend… even if this year wasn’t everything you hoped, there is beauty in knowing you were never alone.
As you sit at the table this week, whether surrounded, stretched thin, or somewhere in between,
I pray you feel a deep, anchored peace.
Not the peace that comes from everything being perfect… but the peace that comes from being held by a perfect God.
