When You Don’t Know What’s Next
There are seasons in life that feel like a deep exhale.
The kind where everything slows down, not because you chose it to, but because God did.
Maybe you’ve been there.
You’ve prayed, planned, and done all the “right” things… and yet, somehow, the next step isn’t clear. You feel ready for change, but the door hasn’t opened. You sense something stirring, but you can’t quite name it.
It’s that in-between space, where you’re no longer who you were, but not yet where you’re going.
And friend, that space can feel uncomfortable. But it’s also holy.
Trusting God When You Don’t See the Full Picture
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.”
Proverbs 3:5–6
When we don’t know what’s next, our instinct is often to figure it out, to plan, fix, and make sense of what feels uncertain. But sometimes, God isn’t asking us to move faster… He’s asking us to lean in deeper.
He’s saying, “You don’t need the whole map. Just trust Me for the next step.”
A Simple Prayer for Clarity
In moments of uncertainty, I’ve learned to pray,
“Lord, I may not know what’s ahead, but You do.
Give me peace to wait, faith to trust,
and clarity to move when You speak.”
This prayer has carried me through so many in-between seasons. Because truthfully, the waiting doesn’t mean God is silent, it means He’s working behind the scenes, preparing you for what’s next.
Finding Peace in the Process
If you’re in a season where things feel unclear, know this: you’re not lost, you’re being led.
Sometimes clarity comes not through control, but through surrender. God’s timing is rarely rushed, but it’s always right.
So take heart. The pause isn’t punishment, it’s preparation.
You don’t have to rush what God is still revealing.
Sometimes, the pause is the path.
